The Internet can connect and divide, emancipate and polarise, causing both good and irreversible bad. It is contradictory, exponentially growing, cross-cultural and cross-local, an inexhaustible source of inspiration and platform that must always be considered critically.
The project INDERNET wants to explore the parallels and above all the interaction between digital and Indian culture. Here, it is important to balance on the increasingly narrow level between inflation and innovation, commercialisation and self-fulfillment, technology and spirituality, nationality and identity.

In the form of a multi-day exhibition, we present artworks and designs by Indian and India-inspired creatives, who use the Internet as both an instrument and a stage. In addition, there will be a diverse program consisting of visual showcases, panel-talks and exclusive performances.

In Form einer mehrtägigen Ausstellung wurden vom 18. Juni bis zum 21. Juni 2020 interdisziplinäre Arbeiten von diversen indischen bzw. Indien inspirierten Kreativen präsentiert, die das Internet als Instrument und Bühne zugleich nutzen. Zusätzlich gab es ein vielfältiges Programm, bestehend aus Interviews, Performances, Workshops und kulinarischen Specials. Aufgrund der Umstände hat die Veranstaltung in virtueller Form stattgefunden.

Im Rahmen der 10. Kölner Indienwoche fand die erste INDERNET Ausstellung statt. Es wurden über 60 interdisziplinäre Arbeiten von 34 indischen bzw. Indien inspirierten Kreativen präsentiert, die das Internet als Instrument und Bühne zugleich nutzen.
