Reena Pathrose grew up in Düsseldorf as the daughter of South Indian immigrants. From an early age, she developed a passion for dance and music. She was trained in the classical Indian dance styles Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam and also gained experience in Carnatic music.
Today, Reena lives with her family in Cologne, works as a project manager in skilled worker placement, and runs the Agni Dance School with great dedication. There, she teaches classical Indian dance and Bollywood and creates a space for cultural exchange and artistic expression.
Reena has performed at various events, including the Parookaville Festival, the Indian Film Festival in Stuttgart, and programs by the Indian Embassy. She has been actively involved with Masala Movement e. V. for many years – as a dancer, organizer, and co-creator of projects such as the dance theatre production Rama & Sita. For her, the collaboration offers a meaningful platform for intercultural exchange and creative connection.
