The Internet can connect and divide, emancipate and polarise causing both good and irreversible bad. It is contradictory, exponentially growing, cross-cultural and an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
In the form of an annual art event INDERNET explores the parallels and interaction between digital and Indian culture.
Due to the current circumstances this year’s exhibition will take place as a virtual show consisting of interactive videos, numerous interviews, showcases and exclusive performances.

INDERNET features Indian inspired creatives who use the internet as an instrument and a stage balancing on the narrow level between inflation and innovation, commercialisation and self-fulfillment, technology and spirituality, nationality and identity. This year’s selection of participants is an international and interdisciplinary mix of artists, including designers, filmmakers, illustrators, writers, dancers and musicians.
When subscribing to the newsletter, visitors can look forward to a digital surprise package. In addition, there will be various interactive activities in the run-up to the exhibition. The results will be published during the event. With a specially developed AR camera filter, Instagram users are called to take videos and pictures. The children will also be creative this year. They have the option of designing the INDERNET tiger as a colouring picture and send it as a photo.
The event is curated, organised and executed by Masala Movement, an intercultural platform for creativity that connects people and projects to break stereotypes, while shaping an inclusive society. The members of Masala Movement celebrate the diversity of their roots and identity with respect for the past and fresh perspectives for the future.
