MM Podcast #4 with Keshavara

The fourth edition of our monthly podcast hosted by Todh Teri:

Keshavara ist musician, composer, writer and producer from Köln.

As the son of the Indian-born percussionist Ramesh Shotham, Keshav Purushotham came into contact with music from an early age. He began his professional musical career as the founder and singer of the Cologne band Timid Tiger. 

In 2019 he released Keshavara his first solo album on his own label Papercup Records.

His entire artistic work is characterised by diversity and curiosity.

Keshavara on his mix for Masala Movement:

“Yoguing, the eccentric dance style that combines voguing with yoga and was invented by Marie-Hélène de Rothschild, experienced a short bloom on her surrealist balls, but soon fell into oblivion again, because the world – as she said – lacked appropriate music.

Thatʼs why she probably would have loved this mix and perhaps even celebrated it as the retrieval of her beloved dance. Let us hope that – thanks to Keshavara’s lazy aroma garden hammock mix – music to which we bend our limbs in slow motion, smoke meerschaum pipe, drink heavily sweetened mocha and roll our eyes to, the beat will finally experience the deserved revival.”
